Première matinée à Londres

First morning in London

...Fortunately, an hour later we met with Marc Bolan

Very welcoming Bolan . A typical English house in a typical London street , with a small " typically typical " garden.
Bolan's decor is in his own image, strange , out of time . Apart of Bolan himself the house also accomodates Mickey Finn, the second half of the group, a lovely girl , and Peepee ( BP ? ) the handyman . In turn barman, valet, road manager , he's just a friend .
After his two hits 'Hot Love ' and Get It On , Bolan draws no vanity , only satisfaction , for being able, now that the band are beginning to make a name, to recruit a bassist . Among the projects, to Bolan's delight , it is almost certain that his story "The Children Of Rarn " will be  adapted to a movie.
Throughout our conversation a lot of records get played on the turntable , often T.Rex's . Sitting comfortably on an ageless sofa, Bolan and Finn lend themselves willingly to requests of photographers. Jean -Pierre Leloir (famous rock photographer in France) tells about it : " Bolan has a smile that must be maddening for any cop in the world ." Posters of T.Rex are best sellers in London . I left T.Rex reluctantly, but our duty was still to come : the pretext for our visit remained Titanic.

T.Rex Electric Warrior

Struggling for fame but staying anonymous for 4 years, Marc Bolan (vocals, guitar) and his friend Micky Finn (vocals, percussions) finally found their path to both English and American charts heights, with Hot Love, and more recently Get It On. Both are on this LP. Marc and Micky offer some good blues-rock, as Get It On, Mambo Sun, Jeepster, or The Motivator (the later is very close to Hot Love), all songs you can easily dance to, and are very listenable with good chorus (Jeepster).

Cosmic Dancer is a nice song with good and poetic lyrics. Violins and choirs are excellent. This record is enjoyable to listen and to dance to.
