A RIOT FOR T.REX AT THE OLYMPIA

The Olympia was litterally assaulted by the audience for the 'Super-Géant" concert of T.Rex

The band arrived, incognito, two days prior to the concert and had taken great care of keeping their arrival details secret.

They appeared at the TV show 'Devine qui est derrière la porte' and spent the Sunday visiting Paris  just like average tourists. In the streets a great number of fans spotted Marc Bolan and congratulated him. There were a few problems at the entrance, as the concert was sold out for more than a week already. The concert started with the support band : 'the 4Z' and Claude ENGEL met a great success with his 'pig song'.

There was a bit of frenzy when Marc and T.Rex walked the stage. The audience packed the front of the stage and cheered to their idol. T.Rex played all of their hits from Telegram Sam to their latest single : 20th Century Boy.

As soon as the concert finished about 2 hundred fans ran to the artist exit and waited for Marc Bolan. He was more than happy to see them and did not try to escape them. He spent nearly two hours kissing girls and signing autographs. When his beautiful Cadillac finally arrived, Marc noticed that his belt was gone without him noticing anything!

The happy Parisian women who were lucky enough to assist at the Olympia concert that night will certainly keep fond memories of the fantastic concert that T.Rex gave, one of the best rock bands in the world.
